The Krona Face Mask is a double-layer face mask designed to be worn over the nose and mouth to reduce the transmission of viruses spread through respiratory droplets, such as influenza (the flu) and Covid-19.   
 
The Krona Face Mask fits closely over the nose and mouth for a smooth, streamlined look. Elastic loops on either side of the mask fit around the ears to hold the mask on.

 
Recommended fabrics:
Medium-weight tightly woven fabric is recommended for both front and lining. Recommendations include quilting cottons, cotton poplin, broadcloth, sateen, or shirting fabrics.
 
Each half of the mask fits onto a 6” x 7” (15.2 x 17.8 cm) piece of fabric.
If cutting on the fold, use main fabric and lining pieces that are 12” x 7” (30.5 x 17.8 cm).

When printing the pattern file, be sure to print at actual size (100%) or select “do not scale” on your print screen. Use the 2” (5 cm) test square to check that your file has printed at the correct size. Scaling the pattern up or down from its intended size may result in the mask not fitting properly.
